Meet our New Committee Chairs

Meet our New Committee Chairs
SARMA is pleased to introduce our two newest Committee Chairs: Dr. Michael Gresalfi as head of the Strategic Planning Committee and Caroline Hamilton as head of the Membership & Outreach Committee.

Michael, a SARMA Board Member, is Senior Advisor to the Tactical Incident Support Branch of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). He is responsible for developing and implementing FEMA's capacity to respond to and recover from the detonation of an improvised nuclear device (IND). Previously he held senior positions in the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office at DHS and at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Michael served as a commissioned officer at the U.S. Army's Intelligence and Security Command, and holds a Ph.D. and MPhil. in Public Policy from the George Washington University.

Caroline is President and CEO of RiskWatch Inc., which has developed over a dozen specialized software tools for a wide array of security assessment, gap analysis and compliance assessment applications. She was a charter member of the Risk Manager's Model Builder's Workshop, sponsored by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) from 1988-1997, and part of group building a working model of Information Risk Management for the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Caroline recently received an award for her contributions in maritime and port security, and is writing a book on risk assessment. She is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside.

We are grateful to Michael and Caroline for offering their time and extensive expertise to help SARMA improve the security risk profession. For descriptions of all 16 SARMA Committees, including the ones they now chair, please visit the Committees page of our website.
