Project Committees Common Knowledge Base -The mission of the Common Knowledge Base (CKB) Committee is to address the lack of a common base of knowledge for the discipline by developing, implementing, maintaining and continuously enhancing the SARMApedia. The SARMApedia includes a wiki-based encyclopedia of terms that will be used to develop a common lexicon for the profession. Other ongoing initiatives related to the SARMApedia include collecting information on existing security analysis and risk management methodologies, developing a list of current research and development projects in the security analysis and risk management field and establishing a who's who of practitioners. Committee Chairperson: Andrew Harter
Training & Certification - The mission of the Training & Certification Committee is to identify the basic skill sets required to standardize the discipline of security analysis and risk management, as well as to develop and promulgate the training and certification programs needed to institutionalize a professional baseline. Generally Accepted Risk Assessment Principles & Standards - The mission of the Generally Accepted Risk Assessment Principles (GARAP) & Standards Committee is to identify, document and promulgate common practices, generally accepted principles and voluntary consensus standards to bring added rigor and commonality to the process of assessing security risks. Committee Chairperson: Irv Pikus

Conferences & Events -The mission of the Conferences & Events Committee is to coordinate the Association's annual conference and other professional seminars, meetings and forums throughout the year. University Programs -Working closely with the Training & Certification Committee, the mission of the University Programs Committee is to develop relationships with leading universities that will facilitate projects and internships designed to expose college students to the opportunities available in the security analysis and risk management field. Awards -The mission of the Awards Committee is to both identify appropriate ways to recognize significant contributions to the security analysis and risk management field, and to work with the University Programs Committee to develop programs to support and encourage young people to pursue careers in this emerging discipline.
