April 5, 2008: SARMA makes its 2007 tax return available for public inspection. For a copy please e-mail treasurer@sarma.org.
November 18: Updates and enhancments were added to the SARMApedia Knowledge Base. Check out the changes at the SARMApedia.
November 16: SARMA hosted the Founding Board and Sponsor's Recognition Breakfast to show its appreciation for past and current board members and corporate sponsors. The event was held at the Tysons Corner Ritz-Carlton and recognized Arion Pattakos, Geoffrey French, Robin Dillon-Merrill and Lisa Bendixen for their contributions as Founding Board Members, and also thanked PricewaterhouseCoopers, SRA International, Analex and SAIC for their corporate sponsorship. Guest speaker Michael Beland, Counsel for the US House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security, thanked SARMA participants for their voluntary efforts and spoke informally about the importance of security risk management in the future of homeland security efforts.
November 1st SARMA provided a much needed facelift to the SARMApedia Common Knowledge Base, and added two new sections: Who's Who in Security Analysis, and R&D in Risk Management. The two new areas will provide users a more comprehensive view of important people and projects in the profession.
June 22nd: The SARMA Common Knowledge Base Kickoff Meeting and Wiki Training was held at the offices of SRA International. Participants reviewed the three Common Knowledge Base Projects (Common Lexicon, Encyclopedia of Security Analysis Methods, and GARAP) and received training on the SARMA wiki and its capabilities.
May 22-23: SARMA held its first annual conference at Georgetown University. Select presentations and pictures can be seen at the conference page.
