SARMA Organization and Leadership
SARMA was incorporated May 23rd, 2006 in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a non-profit trade association under section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Service tax code. Per our Articles of Incorporation, SARMA began with a seven-member Interim Board of Directors. These members were selected for their experience, vision for the profession and commitment to maturing the security analysis and risk management discipline.
In May, 2007, the Intrerim Board was replaced by an elected Board during the SARMA Annual Meeting. Subsequently, the Board voted unanimously to expand the board from seven to nine Directors.
In May 2008, Phil Lacombe, and John Paczkowski were elected to the Board.

The next election for Directors will be held at the Annual SARMA meeting and conference, to be scheduled in the spring of 2009. Individuals interested in serving or making a nomination for a position should contact the Nominating Committee Chairperson at mailto:leadership@sarma.org by February 1, 2009.

The Officers manage SARMA on a day-to-day basis following SARMA's Bylaws and the general direction provided by the Board. The current officers are:

Executive Committee
Between meetings an Executive Committee, consisting of the President, Executive Vice President, and Treasurer, make decisions and take action on behalf of the Board.
